Hello, I'm Claudia Vela! An artist, illustrator and graphic designer working in a variety of traditional and digital mediums, with a special love for graphite and watercolor illustration. I studied studio arts at the University of Central Oklahoma, where I grew up. After moving to California in 2007, I studied multimedia design at San Francisco City College and Berkeley City college. I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of my life, I now reside in San Diego and loving the sunshine. I am currently a graphic design student at Miracosta College, planning on attaining my degree this semester.
Having an intense desire to turn ideas into tangible things since a very young age, I wholeheartedly foster an imaginative spirit and I'm open to possibilities. Driven by my lasting vision of giving my traditional illustrations new lives in the digital world, I am like a kid at a candy store with the many possibilities that digital illustration opens up. I am passionate about experimenting with colors, textures and some animation. Exploring techniques and expanding on my current skills, I am eager to work with clients to help bring ideas to life.
I mostly work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. I also have experience working with Adobe Animate, After Effects and Premiere Pro. My traditional mediums are graphite, watercolor, oil and acrylic paint, polymer clay, paper clay, wire, and anything else I can get my hands on!
Want to work together? I'd love to hear from you!

Thank you!
