The Illustration for this book cover came about as I was practicing with alcohol markers. The subject looks a little frustrated, my feeling at the time while having artist's block. Suddenly, I was drawing eggs falling from the sky. I chuckled to myself while drawing the eggs's facial expressions and started to like the direction this drawing was going. I realized the eggs were taunting the subject (me) with their annoyingly cute faces. This inspired the title "Annoying Things" This project serves as a springboard for exploring and developing the illustrations it contains

Digital refinements. The eggs looked too pixelated when I scaled the image, so I sketched over what needed to be refined using my Wacaom tablet on Photoshop.
Final result. I particularly enjoyed adding more annoyingly cute eggs to the title.
I designed the back, spine and front of the book. As I gather ideas, I look forward to developing illustrations to fill the pages
